To be released early spring (2007), some song titles which look to appear on “Still Point” are ’12 Months’, ‘Black Phoebe’, ‘Outer Dark’, and ‘Loss Is The Sword’.

ATAVIST – For An Allegiance With Profound Lore

The new gods of polarizing pessimistic extreme sludge blackened doom ATAVIST have formed an allegiance with Profound Lore. Details are currently being worked upon and hammered out to release the band’s follow-up to their incredible self-titled debut album for North American shores. Hailing from the UK, these lords of Manchester create some of the most negative, grim, and evil sounding extreme doom like no other band today and have already made quite the name for themselves in their short time of existing, already being taken under the wing of SUNN 0))) and the now-disbanded KHANATE. Sound-wise, one could say Atavist amalgamate the histrionic vibes of the aforementioned, but throw their own kind of evil twist in creating some of the most painful and introverted sounds that the extreme doom metal scene has to offer. The band plan on entering the studio this December to record their new album with the strong possibilities of the North American version of their new album to contain a special bonus track.
