With Mayhem initially announcing their up-coming North American tour (to make up some of the dates from the band’s last botched North American run), LUDICRA were announced as Mayhem’s direct support, and finally getting their first big break within their career, with TOMBS and their label mates KRALLICE rounding up the lineup.  Not surprisingly, when all was set, Mayhem decided to unceremoniously cancel their most recent attempt at another North American tour run and have yet to issue any sort of statement.   But the show must go on.

Along with their upcoming involvment in the Profound Lore/20 Buck Spin SXSW showcase (to take place March 19th at Headunters in Austin, TX), Indianapolis, Indiana blackened sludge metal abomination COFFINWORM have completed their debut album, “When All Became None”.

Here is the online flyer (which will differ from the David D'Andrea design) with the full Profound Lore/20 Buck Spin SXSW lineup announced for what will undoubtedly be one of the heaviest showcases to plague SXSW this year.  Along with the aforementioned bands representing both labels announced, the showcase (to take place on March 19th at Headhunters, the show starts at 7pm and will last until the ungodly hours of dusk) will also feature three more awesome bands, namely THE ATLAS MOTH, DARK CASTLE, and HATRED SURGE. 

Brooklyn NY three-piece CASTEVET will release their debut full-length “Mounds Of Ash” through Profound Lore Records this summer.  Generating a notable buzz with their now out of print “Stones/Salts” 7” and their visceral live performance, Castevet are a unique act that combine a lethal mix of progressive/post hardcore with the musical tendencies of such acts as VOIVOD, VED BUENS ENDE, and on occasion, DEATHSPELL OMEGA and CONVERGE.  More news surrounding this crushing debut shall surface as its release date draws closer.  In the meantime, you can find out a bit more about Castevet at their myspace page HERE and you can view live footage from their recent appearance from their last gig at the recent Heart Of Winter Fest HERE.
